FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the registration deadline?

You need to register and process full payment by 20:00 CET on 30th September, 2026.

How do I register and book ?

Go to: Click HERE to access the registration page

Click REGISTER & BOOK to register and book your event

We need to validate your email on registration. If you are already registered on PickleBook, you will not have to enter the information we already have within PickleBook which will simplify registration.

If you are not currently on PickleBook, you need to validate your email and link your DUPR account to PickleBook.

You will know your DUPR is correctly linked as you will see a blue card on your profile

You can do this step prior to registration for the European Open or you can do it when you register for the tournament, it will just make your first registration a slightly longer process. Once you have done this, you will not have to do this step again.

Why can't I see all the event categories?

Only event categories that you are eligible for will be visible to you based on your age and self-assessed rating.

You can view other categories in the tournament by clicking here, but will not be able to book into them:

How do I add a partner?

There are two ways to add a partner.

1 If you have agreed to play with a particular partner prior to booking your own entry:

When you select your event, add your partners email address (it must be the email address that they will use to register for this tournament):

Once you’ve checked out and paid, this will reserve your partners place for 36 hours. They will receive an email. They will need to accept the invitation, and pay for their ticket in order to confirm the partnership within the 36 hours.

ONLY 1 person in the partnership needs to do this initial booking.

2 If you don’t have an agreed partner then sign up as a single player

If you’ve checked out without a partner, you can go back into your booking and search for a partner:

Contact them by email to ask any questions, or invite them directly:

Players wishing to partner with players in a different age or rating should note that the system will automatically put them into the event with lowest age and/or highest rating.

Can I change / update my booking ?

Once you have successfully registered and paid, you will receive a confirmation email.

At the bottom of the email you will see a button "See Booking" click this to:

I need to withdraw from the tournament - how do I do this / Will I get a refund?

• Login to Change/Update your booking per above.

• Change the item quantity to zero (0) and proceed to summary for your refund to be processed.

Please note that per our T&C’s:

Registration fees are non-refundable (except if the Tournament is cancelled or postponed), but event fees will be refunded up to the date of registration closing. (Refunds are subject to a 5% admin fee).

Can I enter more than one event in the same day?

Unfortunately not, as the events are on the same day, scheduling of matches would be too difficult when we are anticipating up to 1000 registrations.

I have registered but I have not received a confirmation email?

If you don’t receive an email that you are expecting from the registration system, PLEASE check your junk/spam folder as this seems to happen occasionally. If you still don’t find it, please log into PickleBook initially to see if you can see your booking on the Home page. If you don't see it there either, please email us using the Contact Page and we will take a look.

I have completed my Registration, but there has been a typo/predictive text error with my first name, last name, email address. Can you correct it for me please?

What happens if someone drops out before the tournament?

How many games will I play per event?

The number of games you will play depends on how many teams are in your event and how well you do in the knock-out stages. There will be a minimum of 4 games, but the average is more like 5+

What is the format of the games?

All games will be traditional scoring (on serve) to 11 or 15 win by 1 or 2 as stated on the score sheet. Further details will be provided in the event programme.

I am 49 at the time of the event but will be 50 one month later. Can I play in the 50+ event?

Please note that age is calculated as age at 31 December 2026. This means for example that if you are 49 at the time of the tournament but 50 at the end of the year, you can enter the 50+ event.

I am 54 at the time of the event and I would like to also enter the 35+ event - is that possible ?

Initially you can play in just your own category defined by age and rating. If we have spaces left by 31st August 2026, we may relax that rule, especially if we are short of men or women for the mixed doubles events.

I am 58 and my partner is 61 does this mean we can’t play together ?

For this tournament, entries are being managed in two phases to ensure both fair competition and maximum participation.

Phase 1 (initial entry period):

Entry is restricted to players who fully meet the stated age and skill category. This ensures that players within each category have a fair opportunity to secure a place.

Phase 2 (after 31 August or earlier)):

If spaces remain, we will open categories more flexibly to allow:

In your case, as one player is 58 and the other is 61, you would not be eligible to enter together in the 60+ category during Phase 1.

However, we suggest that both players register individually within their eligible categories to secure a place. If spaces remain when Phase 2 opens, you will then be able to partner together in the lower age category (50–59), subject to availability.

This approach ensures fair access for all players while still allowing flexibility where possible.
