Introducing: The Unity Cup

This year sees the debut of an exciting new addition—The Pickleball Unity Cup, taking place on Thursday between the Senior and 15+/35+ events.

At its heart, the Unity Cup is a celebration of pickleball’s origins—the spirit of open play, social connection, and the simple joy of being on court together. While every match still carries the thrill of competition, with clear wins and losses, this format reminds us that the game is about far more than results.

Players will be drafted into one of two teams:

• • Team Edge — energy, sharpness, competitive fire
  • Team Pulse — rhythm, momentum, and heart

Families can compete side by side on the same team, players of different ages and abilities share the court, and hybrid play is embraced as not just inclusive, but genuinely fun and rewarding. With wooden paddle “Origins” matches, the event pays tribute to the sport’s humble beginnings—honouring where it started, even as it evolves.

Each player is guaranteed multiple matches, all contributing to a live team score—building narrative, tension, and excitement throughout the competition.
